The Word of God

December 28, 2010

Hello Saints,
Isn’t God good! Is it not a blessing just to wake up this morning with a roof over your head, cloths on your back and in the right mind. Our Father is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and our provider. Not only our material provider but the best spiritual advisor. Jesus told the Apostles (us) that He must go but that he will send help for us, that help is the Holy Spirit and His living word which keeps us in line with walking the walk and not just talking the talk. Thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit, for Jesus and for your living never changing ever encouraging and fulfilling Word. Blessed be your name!
The Word of God is not simply a collection of words, it is living, life changing and dynamic as it works in us, through us and for us. With the incisiveness of a surgeon’s knife, God’s Word reveals who we are and what we are not. It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life. It discerns what is within us, both good and evil. The demands of God’s word require decisions. We must not only listen to the Word, we must also let it shape our lives. Nothing can be hidden from God. He knows about everyone everywhere, and everything about us is wide open to his all-seeing eyes. God sees all we do and know all we think. Even when we are unaware of his presence, he is there. When we try to hide from him, he sees us. We can keep no secrets from God. It is comforting to realize that although God knows everything, each little detail about us, yet he still loves us. Why not treat yourself, you deserve it! Pick up the Bible and read God’s living Word.
Hebrews 4 12-13: For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double –edge sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
